Playing with Coins

As Albert Einstein said “Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.”

we need lot of imagination when dealing with coins.

I have composed this blog post for fun:
War scenes across many temples in India are depicted beautifully. Following is one such image from Hoysaleshwara temple of Halebeedu:

Here is our war scene created with coins :P
In Shiva temple, we find Nandi, the bull in front of the deity. The truth is that just as Lingam is the symbol of God (Shiva), Nandi (bull) is the symbol of Jeeva (Individual soul). Therefore just like the Nandi, men should turn away from Prakriti and direct all his attention towards Eshwara only.
Hanuman & Garuda are regarded as the greatest devotees of the lord Vishnu, we can see the sculptures of them in most of the Vaishnava temples.

Shankha & sudarshana chakra are one of the main attributes of Vishnu. The sound of the shankha symbolises the sacred Om sound while according to the puranas, Sudarshana Chakra is used for the ultimate destruction of an enemy.
Vishnu's images, either in sitting or standing posture, show him holding the shankha usually in his left upper hand, while Sudarshana chakra decorate his upper right hand.

Gajalakshmi, that is Lakshmi with elephants, is one of the most significant Ashtalakshmi aspects of the Hindu goddess Lakshmi.
I’ll keep updating this blog post. Check out this space for further updates.
